Q&A with Melanie Swift
How do you approach your role at JMFA?
I approach my job role with being a great representative for JMFA and supporting clients, who are vital to the company’s success. Each client is unique, and I apply the golden rule of treating others how I want to be treated.
What do you find most rewarding about your role at JMFA?
I find it rewarding to be a part of the JMFA team where I have the opportunity and privilege to work with clients to ensure we can help deliver them better results. It is a pleasure creating relationships with clients—they know that they can trust me and that we have their best interests at heart.
What do you like to do when you aren’t assisting our clients?
When I ‘m not assisting our clients I enjoy listening to music, spending time talking and when possible having video calls with my grandkids and watching sporting events. One of my biggest passions is playing pool which I haven’t been able to do lately due to COVID.
What motivates you each day?
Having mere life and understanding motivates me each day. I am not on this earth to take up space but to make a difference in the lives of others. I also enjoy the opportunity to learn new things and serve others, which leads to building stronger relationships with our clients and coworkers. I am very goal-focused and find achieving new goals and meeting deadlines—as an individual but also as team—very rewarding.

What is a song title or movie that best describes your personality? Tell us why.
A song that best describes me is “Thankful” by Kelly Clarkson. I am thankful for all of life’s experience; it is a combination of the good and bad that has made me who I am today. Although I do not know who Kelly had in mind when she sang the song, to me, God is the only one who knows my soul and thoughts. And I am grateful God has walked with me through all of life’s situations.
