JMFA NEWS: Staff Spotlight on Chris Karstens


Congratulations to Chris Karstens who has been promoted to IT Director. In this new role, he will be responsible for the management of all internal IT resources – including network administration, desktop support for JMFA personnel, training, internet security and CRM maintenance. He will also oversee client tech support for the company’s Privilege Manager CRM® and FastTrack software platforms.  

Chris Karstens, JMFA IT DirectorChris has been with JMFA for 10 years, serving as a network administrator, and providing software support and implementation for client institutions. He has more than 20 years of experience and insight in the ever-changing specialties of IT and electronics.

During the promotion announcement at the company’s annual sales meeting, JMFA EVP of Operations and CIO John Cohron spoke of the critical role IT plays in delivering financial services in today’s marketplace, and what Chris’ promotion means for the company and its clients.

“Our consulting services involve different areas of IT, including client core platforms and working with internal bank or credit union personnel to ensure proper implementation of program recommendations,” he said. “Chris’ expertise and commitment to excellence will greatly support our ability to deliver the core platforms our clients need to ensure successful program implementation and results.”

According to Chris, the goal of the IT department is to provide exceptional service – from keeping internal systems running at peak performance and ensuring that employees have the tools they need to do their jobs effectively, to implementing easy-to-use, secure software and providing on-going consulting to financial institutions.
