At JMFA, we love it when our family-like atmosphere extends beyond the office walls into the community, and we want to recognize the people who make that happen. Today, we’re shining a spotlight on Jan Southern, Senior Relationship Manager.
Jan volunteered at the Houston Area Food Bank, which is operating at more than 150% capacity and distributing more than 750,000 pounds of food daily during the current pandemic. With more than 104 million meals delivered feeding 800 thousand people annually, the Houston Area Food Bank is America’s largest food bank in distribution, leading hunger relief in 18 southeast Texas counties.
Jan’s coworkers say she goes above and beyond in work ethic as well. In fact, she was one of JMFA’s first employees, joining us in 1981. She took a leap of faith back then and has stayed with us ever since.
Since joining JMFA, Jan has developed an extensive proficiency in the strategies and practices for community banks and credit unions to maximize their performance levels. As a Senior Relationship Manager, she works one-on-one with her clients to develop results-driven plans to stay focused on account holders, maintain compliance and strengthen revenue.
Outside the office, Jan also volunteers for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, which provides more than $475 million in scholarships, grants and junior exhibitor prizes for Texas youth since 1931.
Thank you, Jan, for volunteering your time, energy and positivity during this pandemic!
