Waid joined JMFA after 25 years in banking. His financial institution background includes senior management positions in credit administration, commercial lending, sales and correspondent banking. In addition to his position with JMFA, he is President and owner of RWT Banc Services, LLC, which assists banks in establishing and implementing director`s incentive programs. Waid served as Senior Vice President of the Correspondent Banking Division of First NBC, New Orleans from 1993 -1997, and Senior Vice President of Compass Bank, Birmingham, Alabama from 1974-1993, in which he managed all aspects of business with community, regional and national banks.
He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a major in Banking & Finance as well as a 1984 graduate of the Banking School of the South at LSU and Vanderbilt Banking School. Mr. Thompson is currently on the Board of Visitors of the University of Alabama`s business school and the Board of Advisors of the American Association of Bank Directors.
