As executive vice president, Ron is responsible for managing JMFA’s business strategies and planning offerings and performance enhancement products and services to help clients improve their bottom line in today’s challenging environment. This includes research and analyses of financial institutions and their markets, recommendations for profit improvement alternatives, restructuring and/or rationalization of products and services, business process optimization and change management solutions, sales and service delivery systems, and technology utilization and alternatives. He has extensive experience and success in helping financial institutions develop and apply strategies that produce high earnings and enhanced operations.
Ron has also served as president, chief operating officer, and most recently executive sales director at JMFA, where he managed all sales and consulting services in the Midwest, Rocky Mountain and Southwest Regions of the U.S. Previously he served as a Trust/Operations Officer and an auditor of a multi-billion dollar Texas bank, held executive leadership and board positions for several Texas banks, served as Chairman of the Board for a Texas-based consulting firm, and as director of financial institutions consulting for a Big 10 accounting and management consulting firm. Ron has a degree in business management and has acquired several banking certificates.

With more than 25 years experience in the banking and financial services industry, Mark joined JMFA as a Consultant in 1996. After four-plus years in the field managing projects providing consultation and support for JMFA clients, he became Regional Director of sales for the Northeast market. In late 2009 he then began working with financial institutions in his home state of Texas, plus Arkansas and New Mexico.
Prior to joining JMFA, Mark managed the accounting, budgeting, cash management, operations and credit administration functions for community banks in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He received his degree in Finance from Abilene Christian University and is also a graduate of The School for Bank Administration at The University of Wisconsin.

Kelly is the National Sales Director for JMFA Contract Optimizer and has over 15 years of sales and management experience. She currently leads a team whose charter is to optimize the value of every third party vendor contract or agreement to help further the strategic vision of each and every financial institution with whom she works. Kelly has experience helping financial institutions of all sizes.
Prior to joining JMFA in 2008, Kelly held positions in various organizations, which included: HarlandClarke, John H. Harland, Liberty Checks and Services and Bayou Federal Credit Union.
Kelly graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in Communications and Business Administration. She has also completed numerous sales, negotiations and communications courses from several well-known companies. She is married and has two children, enjoys numerous activities such as cooking, reading and traveling. Kelly is also passionate about and works with the Salvation Army Angels program and her local church in an attempt to provide needy children with a fulfilling holiday experience.

Jan Southern has more than 40 years of experience in the field of financial services, including 32 years with JMFA. Her areas of expertise include project management, organizational structure effectiveness and staffing, information technology, communications, business process reengineering, income optimization, expense control disciplines and training.
Ms. Southern has spent the majority of her career in the financial services industry, beginning with American Exchange Bank in Norman, OK, where she eventually became Operations Manager. Later she joined Gardner-Denver Company in Dallas as Corporate Cash Manager for its worldwide operations. She joined JMFA in 1981, where she has been a successful Relationship Manager, participating in over 400 domestic and international projects.
Ms. Southern graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, with a degree in Psychology. Over the years, she has expanded upon her formal education with a large number of industry specific courses.

Marie has been involved for over 30 years in the financial industry, working with a variety of financial institutions and investment companies. She is currently working as an Engagement Manager in the Division for Profit & Performance Enhancement Consulting at John M Floyd & Associates (JMFA).
Prior to joining JMFA in 2013, her experience included serving as President of Financial Compliance and Communications, LLC located in Houston, Texas, as a Consultant to over 100 credit unions with the Texas Credit Union League, as VP of Business Development for a leading credit union in the Houston area, as VP of Retail Banking and Project Manager for several new community bank branch locations and as Manager of an award-winning corporate bank branch located in Downtown Houston.
As a Bachelor of Science student at Southern New Hampshire University in Data Analytics and Forensic Accounting, her coursework includes data analysis, information systems, project management, accounting and audit. Marie has also studied with the American Institute of Banking and the Credit Union Executive Society in Business Law, Finance, Management, Marketing, Regulatory Compliance, Consumer Lending and Financial Statements. She has held securities, insurance and real estate licenses from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the North American Securities Administrators Association, the Texas Department of Insurance and the Texas Real Estate Commission. Her educational contributions have included developing curriculum for North Harris County Montgomery Kingwood College in 1998 as a Bank Training Advisory Board Member and she has proudly served on her local Chambers of Commerce in board positions and as Chair of the Friends for East Montgomery County Improvement District.

Gary has worked with commercial banks, independent trust companies, thrifts, investment management companies, credit unions, credit union service organizations (CUSO’s) and securities broker-dealers.
Prior to joining JMFA in 2013, he was President of Fiduciary Consulting LLC located in Ruston, Louisiana. Fiduciary Consulting provides assistance to financial institutions to implement new services or improve existing services. Areas of focus include financial accounting, operations, internal audit, commercial lending underwriting and review, regulatory compliance, community development financial institutions, community development entities, new markets tax credits, low-income housing tax credits, historic tax credits, renewable energy investment tax credits, real estate development and rehabilitation, business financial counseling and volunteer income tax assistance.
Gary holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting, is a Certified Public Accountant and holds multiple Securities and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority certifications.

Karen C. Wiehoff joined JMFA in 2012 with over 30 years of executive management experience in the financial services industry. Her career as a community banker has afforded her in-depth expertise in such areas as consulting, leadership, relationship management, process improvement, project management, human resources, training, marketing, and regulatory and compliance initiatives. Karen has held the positions of Senior Vice President of Operations, Lending and Branch Management, Regional Marketing Director, and Bank Secrecy and Anti-Money Laundering Officer in the Southeast Texas region. She has led numerous core software conversions, implemented technological advances and efficiencies, and increased operational effectiveness through aggressive turnaround and change management efforts.
In addition, Karen has served on the board of directors of community and civic organizations, and participated in philanthropic fundraising. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Minor in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix, Houston, Texas in 2007. She earned a Master of Business Management from the University of Phoenix, Houston, Texas in 2008.

Jennifer joined JMFA with more than 29 years of experience in the credit union industry. Her background includes involvement in all aspects of credit union and association management, including roles in executive leadership, business development, member engagement and branch operations.
Prior to joining JMFA, Jennifer was associated with the MD|DC Credit Union Association (MD|DC CUA) where she served as chief membership officer and stepped in as interim CEO while the association board explored a merger opportunity. Her professional background also includes management and operations experience with Signal Financial Federal Credit Union (formerly, Washington Telephone Federal Credit Union), National Institutes of Health Federal Credit Union, Spectrum Federal Credit Union and Montgomery County Teachers Federal Credit Union. Jennifer began her career as a teller and rose through the ranks to gain proficiency in strategic planning, compliance, board governance, product development, marketing, training and member outreach. This experience has given her a broad perspective of the needs, challenges and opportunities facing financial institutions today.
